Private tour

The salt mine in Bochnia is full of unique and raw chambers that attract and impress people longing for exceptional experiences. Unusual combination of nature and modern technology (for example in the underground digital exhibition) will let you learn the history of the mine in an accessible and interesting way and experience a feeling of traveling back in time. At the beginning of the tour you will learn the history of the époque of a king Bolesław the Chaste and princess Kinga. The presence of Polish kings, Genoa salt miners and mysterious Cistercian ghost – a monk connected with the mine will create a mystical atmosphere. Eight centuries after the end of the mine activity, the undergrounds of Bochnia developed into a town that you can visit by hopping on an amazing railway, go down the longest underground slide, as well as enjoy a boat trip on a salt lake in one of the chambers. It’s worth mentioning that the wooden boats in the mine are included in the Polish Register of Shipping, exactly as traditional sea-going ships. We invite you for an unforgettable journey back in time, full of extraordinary stories and experiences.
